charmed.

As with my sisters, my mom started collecting charms for my charm bracelet beginning when I was a little girl.  Collectively they are my life’s stories: what I have seen, where I have lived, where I have traveled.

Recently I sought to modernize my charm bracelet and redesigned it into a necklace. I kept the bracelet itself intact, but added a detachable component that allowed me to also wear it as a oversized, long necklace.

The necklace components came from my grandmother’s pearls, the ribbon from an old dress and the center pendant from my favorite talisman.

I love wearing this piece: I love the sound that it makes, the meaning behind it- and of course – that it is my story.  I love working with people to re-create their charm bracelets as well, so give me a shout if you would like to work together.
