For our London friends, the Victoria & Albert Museum will be opening what promises to be an amazing exhibition titled simply Pearls. While the exhibition opens 21 September, it also touts an incredible evening event on 9 October with Harper’s Bazaar editor-in-chief, Justine Picardie, and co-curator of Pearls, Beatriz Chadour-Sampson.
The V&A exhibition includes pearls from Mesopotamia (now Northern Iraq) from 2300 BC to classic ornamentation of debutantes to contemporary artist interpretations such as jewellery house Yoko.
For those interested in attending the Pearls discussion, tickets for welcome drinks, nibbles and a private view of the exhibition can be purchased here. Tickets cost £22.60 and places are limited to 50.
Read more about the exhibition in September’s Harper’s Bazaar.
